Most commonly asked questions for Celebration Cakes

We tend to get busy with cake orders quickly, so it’s best to place your order as soon as you know you would like to order a cake.  Giving us ample time ensures we can provide the best product and service possible for our customers. For all celebration cakes 3 days’ notice is preferred. If you need a cake on the day of we have some cakes in our pastry cases. Please stop by or give us a call.

The easiest way to order a cake is to place an order from our website or send an email directly at bixorders@gmail.com. Please include the date of your event, type of event, the number of servings you need, and contact number. You can also include a message such as Happy Birthday or Congratulations.

Payments can be made securely online from our website. Payment is due in full for any orders placed on our website or by calling the bakery.

At Bix Bakery & Café our cakes, whipped cream, and fillings are all made from scratch. We use all natural products and source from local vendors whenever possible. All our cakes are made in house.

As a general guidelines here are the servings per size:
6 inch round serves 4-6 people
9 inch round serves 8-12 people
1/4 sheet cake serves 23-25 people
1/2 sheet cake serves 35-40 people
Full sheet cake serves 45-50 people

Yes, we do offer next day delivery of our cakes if ordered by noon. No deliveries Tuesdays. The delivery area is a 20 mile radius of our location in Sugar House.

Unfortunately, we do not offer shipping our cakes at this point in time.  

Yes. We are a bakery and café with a ready to buy selection of cakes and pastries displayed in our pastry cases. You can stop by and talk to one of our team members and they’d be happy to assist you.

We currently do not offer custom cakes or photo cakes.

Yes, we take immense joy and pride in helping people from out of town and sometimes outside of the country who would like to surprise a loved one who lives in Salt Lake Valley with a cake or treats from our bakery. So go ahead and place that order. We’ll do the rest.

It’s easy.
-Click on the online order link to catering.
-Browse our menu offerings.
-Choose your menu items and add them to your cart.

-Enter your headcount to see your price per head.

-Once everything looks good, check out.

-Confirm your delivery address and instructions.

-Add payment info.

-Place your order.

Your order details zip over to our restaurant, and we’ll keep you posted as your order progresses.

Yes, you can make changes to your order until 24 hours before your scheduled delivery/pickup, you can view and change your order online. Otherwise, please contact us and we’ll help you out.

 

Yes, as far ahead as you’d like! We encourage you to place an order as early as possible which helps us provide you with the best food and service by giving us enough time to plan ahead.

If it’s specific to a menu item (no olives, dressing on the side, etc.), click the item when making your order, and then choose Add special instructions.

Our delivery fee is 10% of the total order value.

Yes, we do have a minimum of 12 people for our catering services.

Most commonly asked questions for E-Shop

Yes, we do offer local and national shipping on products from our e-shop for a standard shipping fee charged by the shipping carrier.

The shelf life for our tea cookies is 2-3 weeks at room temperature and six months in freezer. For best taste please consume cookies within 5 days. 

For best taste please consume the loaf cakes within 3-5 days of receiving.

Once your order is placed on the site, you’ll see a Thank You Page, which will include your order confirmation number on it. You will also receive an email confirmation of your order.

Yes, some of our products do contain nuts; when nuts are an ingredient it is indicated in the product description as well as in the ingredient statement. People with severe nut allergies should be aware that tree nuts are present in our production facility. Our products do not contain peanuts and we do not process peanuts in our facility.

 

We do not use ingredients produced using biotechnology and no ingredients with GMO’s. Our products are natural containing only natural locally sourced ingredients that does not contain artificial additives or ingredients.
